Thanks to Chris for the heads up on this clip for Control: The Ian Curtis Film, about the life of the Joy Division frontman. The film is being directed by photographer/music video director Anton Corbijn and is based on Deborah Curtis’s book Touching from a Distance: Ian Curtis & Joy Division.

Control recently won Best European Film at the Cannes Film Festival and Variety described the film as “somber, sad and compelling.” They also called it a “riveting, visually arresting portrait of a soul in torment.” Can’t wait to check it out.
