Kaiser Chiefs Not Releasing Ferrell-Inspired Album

Like drinking milk on a hot summer day, Kaiser Chiefs have made a bad choice by deciding not to release an album recorded spontaneously in tribute to Will Ferrell. Earlier this year, the group confirmed they’d recorded another LP’s worth of music inspired by Ferrell’s character in Anchorman while completing Yours Truly Angry Mob. However, singer Ricky Wilson has confessed that the record is “awful,” which may explain why the band entitled it Bad. (I was hoping they would call it I Predict a Glass Case of Emotion.)

Oh, well - can’t wait for it to leak on the interwebs. Maybe Hypeful is just struck with Anchormaningitis - I did recently compare New Pornographers’ cover art to an Anchorman character.
