Good news you guys were interested by Hypeful’s first Pumpkins-related post, because today’s Smashing-centric coverage continues! Video and subsequent MP3s of the The Smashing Pumpkins’ performance at this past weekend’s Rock AM Ring festival in Germany have made their way onto the interwebs, further unveiling the group’s (read: Billy Corgan’s) new material from the upcoming album - Zeitgeist. While it appears Billy has given geisha-inspired tailoring to The Polyphonic Spree’s old robes, the good news is that classic Pumpkins tracks like “Today” and “Cherub Rock” were mixed into the setlist (further decreasing Hypeful’s interest in Kweller’s recent cover). Even better, the new song “Starz” is kind of interesting. Check it out and you can watch video of the entire performance here.
