Like countless others, I have been awaiting a movie adaptation of The Simpsons since, oh…1989. I was very relieved that the movie not only delivered big laughs, but perhaps a late candidate for 2007’s song of the summer as well. I’m speaking, of course, about “Spider Pig” and I have been semi-consciously singing it all weekend. It’s still months away, but my fingers are crossed that “Spider Pig” gets an Academy Award nomination for Best Original Song…

1This movie was great. It is a must see for any Simpsons fan. It was pretty much an extended episode.

2i honestly LOVED this film! and spider pig is a classic for generations to come, believe me!

3[…] If you loved The Simpsons Movie as much as I did but missed last night’s season 19 premiere (”He Loves to Fly and He D’ohs”), you missed out on a terrific and clever opening couch bit. Upon leaving school after his usual routine, Bart rides his skateboard home through a Springfield still reeling from the aftereffects of the town’s dome ordeal.
