New Grizzly Bear (Feat. Dirty Projectors & Beirut) - “Alligator (Choir Version)”

Grizzly Bear Friend EP

With assistance from Dirty Projectors and Beirut, Grizzly Bear have remade “Alligator” from their 2004 debut Horn of Plenty. The band has transformed the original minute-and-a-half sketch of a song into a fully realized and beautiful tune that clocks in at five minutes. The track will be included on Friend (out on November 11), a new 10-track collection of new material, covers, collaborations, and “reworked & re-recorded” material. To better appreciate the scope of the new “Alligator”, I’ll post both versions for your comparative enjoyment. (via Stereogum).

One Response to “New Grizzly Bear (Feat. Dirty Projectors & Beirut) - “Alligator (Choir Version)””

  1. I saw the Dirty Projectors live once a few years back. It was the best live performance I’ve ever seen in my whole life, and I saw Jewel live once, haha.

    This should be great!
