Lindsay Lohan 50 Cent mugshots

Rumors are circulating that 50 Cent is planning to work with Lindsay Lohan on her upcoming album Nobody’s Angel. However, considering the source is Michael Lohan (Lindsay’s pops), the credibility of these rumors is iffy at best. Instead, maybe Lindsay should consider Spank Rock for her third album - he already has some material ready for the starlet!

New Queen - “Say It’s Not True”

Queen Say It’s Not True

To mark World AIDS Day tomorrow (December 1st), Queen have released a new single entitled “Say It’s Not True” for free. Drummer Roger Taylor wrote the track as a gift to Nelson Mandela and originally performed it for him in 2003 with Brian May and Dave Stewart at the inaugural 46664 concert in Cape Town. Queen recorded “Say It’s Not True” with Paul Rodgers and it’s their first new song in 10 years. The new studio recording of the track is currently available as a free download on Queen’s website and here on Hypeful.

Snoop Dog Sensual Seduction Video

Snoop Dogg’s new music video for “Sensual Seduction” is so very, very good, one has to wonder if MTV is even going to bother with handing out VMA’s next year. If so, MTV should just get to work on constructing one giant Moon Man award to give Snoop (and his keytar).

New Jack Johnson - “If I Had Eyes”

Jack Johnson If I Had Eyes new single

With temperatures dropping and winter approaching, a new Jack Johnson single seems like the perfect natural cure for seasonal affective disorder. “If I Had Eyes” is the name of the new tune and it delivers on all of the breezy and mellow sounds the surfer-singer has become known for. Starting on iTunes on December 11th, you can buy the single or preorder Jack’s new album, Sleep Through The Static and get the single delivered immediately as part of your album purchase. Sadly, there’s still no word on when you can order a pair of JJ Casuals

Illinois Asks Fans For LP Artwork

Illinois LP artwork

Illinois are asking for their artistically inclined fans to help them create the artwork for their upcoming LP, The Return of Kid Castatrophee. Their idea for the cover is simple enough - “a kid with a rain cloud over his head.” The above pic is what the band drew to illustrate their concept, but they’re encouraging fans to let their imaginations run wild and have fun with it. If you’re interested in submitting your art, get in touch with the band via their MySpace page or official site. In the meantime, this seems like an appropriate song to share for all of the aspiring cover artists…

Dear Rockers Axl Rose letter with $5 coins

Many of us have owned music that we didn’t necessarily pay for at some point in our lives. While some may rest easy at night, there are still plenty of others who have experienced some complex emotions about shafting an artist out of making a buck. Luckily, the great website Dear Rockers has created a way to help fans thank their favorite artists and repay them in five easy steps - you simply pick a musician, write them a letter, send a pic of the letter to Dear Rockers, mail off your letter along with $5, and enjoy the karma. It’s kind of like Post Secret for a post-Napster society and reading the letters on the site is insightful and hilarious. A particular favorite is a girl who sent Axl Rose $5 in coins “because that’s how bum wine should be bought.” (Thanks to Pop Candy for the heads up!)
