Sufjan Announces Xmas Song Xchange Contest
In addition to busying himself with The BQE, the ever-prolific Sufjan Stevens is working on a very special Christmas song to give away to one lucky fan. Keeping in the spirit of the holidays, however, the rules of his contest means that Soof wants a song in exchange. Here’s how it works: write an original Christmas song, record it, and email the song to Asthmatic Kitty. They’ll pick a winner who will then trade all legal rights to their song for all legal rights to Sufjan’s song. All entries are due by midnight on December 1 and the winner should be announced around December 15. Also, check back to the AK site to hear entries streamed.
