Too bad I can’t blame good ol’ tryptophan anymore for not getting this post up sooner - (get back to work on those hoverboards, scientists!!!) Anyhoo, if you haven’t already guessed, Hypeful has taken the Thanksgiving holiday off today to enjoy the rarest of condiments - cranberry sauce. Don’t feel like dancin’? Maybe you would prefer playing a game of “Whack-A-Sister,” recently released online to help promote the Scissor Sisters forthcoming Hurrah - A Year of Ta Dah DVD. Don’t be misled by the title of the familiar game - you do not get to go Tony Soprano on Jake Shears.

If you’ve ever wanted to see Brandon Flowers bound in tinsel and begging for his life (and I know some of you) - your holiday wishes have come true! Alternatively, if you’re into cheesy Christmas sweaters you should definitely check out The Killers’ new video for their Christmas single - “Don’t Shoot Me Santa.” The song hits radio airwaves on Monday (November 26th) and released for digital download the next day. On December 1st, the single and video will debut on JOINRED.COM. The following Tuesday, December 4th, the “Don’t Shoot Me Santa” single package (including audio track and video) arrives in stores. As part of (RED), 100% of the proceeds from the single will go to benefit the Global Fund for investment in African AIDS programs. The video has leaked on to YouTube early,however, and worth a viewing (but will probably be removed from the site fairly quickly).

In making an argument for the superiority of pants, a very wise man (actually Hypeful’s friend Seth at a local bar) once pointed out that “Mick Jagger would never wear shorts.” While Jagger’s inimitable style has had a few stumbles, NME offers further evidence that English rockers and shorts are a highly unstable combo. In their preparation for England to take on Croatia at Wembley, the mag has assembled some amusing photos of English rock stars (who aren’t Jagger) in shorts.
