New Hot Hot Heat Video - “Harmonicas & Tambourines”

Hot Hot Heat Music Video Harmonicas & Tambourines 1980’s cordless phone honey bears

If Flock of Seagulls’ had an acid trip in a karaoke bar and you were somehow able to capture it on VHS, you might have an approximation of Hot Hot Heat’s 80’s-licous new video for “Harmonicas & Tambourines.” While Snoop may have beaten them to the punch with his 80’s drenched “Sensual Seduction” video (complete with Solid Gold ladies!), Hot Hot Heat are certainly not far behind with their nostalgic new vid (complete with side ponytails and clunky cordless phones!).

Jose Gonzalez Live on Austin’s Retread Sessions

Jose Gonzalez captured live on Austin’s Retread Sessions

Austin’s Retread Sessions are unique live performances in which musicians are given a chance to reexamine and reconstruct songs outside of the traditional performance locales. Jose Gonzelez recently sat down for a taping at the Blanton Museum of Art and performed two nice versions of “Send Someone Away” and “Abram.” You can check them out (along with some more intimate performances by other artists) on Retread Sessions’ site.

If you’ve got a hipster on your holiday shopping list, might Hypeful recommend the Elitism Diagram Shirt? Although it’s a funny and spot-on graphical representation of hipster snobbery, just don’t tell them it’s not printed on American Apparel(Thanks to BWE for the heads up!)
