Of Montreal Cover M.I.A.’s “Jimmy”
It shouldn’t surprise you that Of Montreal has a l’il Bollywood in them - and that’s not a reference to Kevin Barnes’ private parts. Of Montreal has actually done an ace cover of M.I.A.’s “Jimmy,” which you may know was itself a cover of Parvati Khan’s “Jimmy Jimmy Jimmy Aaja” from the 1982 Bollywood movie Disco Dancer. Slower and more hushed than its predecessors, Of Montreal have reworked the song without sacrificing any of the fun or catchiness of the original.
