Glen Hansard and Marketa Irglova Take Best Original Song Oscar

Falling Slowly Glen Hansard and Marketa Irglova Take Best Original Song Oscar Once

Suck it, Enchanted! Despite earlier attempts to withdraw their nomination, Glen Hansard and Marketa Irglova took home the Best Original Song Oscar last night for Once’s “Falling Slowly.” Taking the stage to accept their award, Hansard offered up a genuine thanks and offered the inspiring message, “Fair play to those who dare to dream.” After cued music unfortunately cut off Irglova from speaking, host Jon Stewart brought her back out so she could make a proper acceptance. If you missed it, it was definitely one of Oscar night’s best moments.
