MGMT and Of Montreal Team Up For Side Project
MGMT’s Andrew Van Wyngarden and of Montreal’s Kevin Barnes have collaborated to form a new side project called Blikk Fang. The duo began recording after their bands toured together earlier this year and their album is scheduled to drop in August. In the meantime, they’ve released two tracks below for your listening pleasure (one of which, “Nupital Eagles Sharpened”, is a cover of The Misfits’ “Where Eagles Dare”).

you’ve been duped. while blikk fang is a real project, these are not actual blikk fang tracks… someone put up some old mgmt and of montreal songs on indie torrents. this is not barnes and van wyngarden’s collaboration. the first is an old mgmt track called “just becuz” and the second is just of montreal covering “where eagles dare.”
mmmm. hey just so you know the update is not exactly correct either. “just becuz” is not “just becuz” it’s actually a song titled “grutu” from the album Climbing to New Lows when the band was still under the name of the Management before they abbreviated it due to copywrite reasons.
but yes i can guarantee that the song is actually called grutu.
