The Raconteurs released a music video for “Salute Your Solution” today to accompany the release of their new album, Consolers Of The Lonely. The vid is comprised of over 2500 different black & white photographs of the band doing their thing in the studio.

Combine stop-motion animation with paper cutouts done by hand and voila - you got yr. new Spoon video! The beautiful 3-minute video project for “You Got Yr. Cherry Bomb” is a collaboration between frontman Britt Daniel, Phillip Niemeyer of Double Triple, and Ryan Junell. The video has two sites of interest - its own page where you can view the eye candy in gorgeous hi-res QuickTime and another where you can check out behind-the-scenes stills of the clip’s process. Nice.

R.E.M.’s new record isn’t coming out until April 1st (almost beating Michael Stipe in coming out, actually), but Accelerate is streaming online until March 26th. The album has received some supernatural superserious kudos from Spin and Rolling Stone, with the latter calling it “one of the best records R.E.M. have ever made.” Clocking in at only 34 minutes, it’s most definitely worth your time.
