MP3 Players Turn 10 Years Old

MPMan F10 MP3 Players 10 Year Anniversary Ten Years Old

This month marks the 10th anniversary of the world’s first MP3 player - the MPMan F10 (pictured above). The tragically named MPMan F10 was a landmark invention that laid the groundwork for modern gadgetry (and serves as an excellent reminder of just how super-sexy and amazing today’s iPods are…). Manufactured by Korea’s Saehan Information Systems, the device was launched in March of 1998 at CeBIT, and went on sale in the Summer for $250. The player featured 32MB of flash memory (which could be upgraded to 64MB via mail-in scheme), connected to PCs via parallel port, and had a miniscule LCD for playback info.

The Incredible Hulk Trailer

Incredible Hulk Trailer Abomination

The new trailer for The Incredible Hulk debuted this week, giving audiences a first look at the Jade Giant, Abomination, and a flick that will probably be more about smashing stuff than Ang Lee’s cinematic meditation on emotional repression. What do you think? Can the Not-So-Jolly Green Giant compete with The Dark Knight and Iron Man this summer?

New Margot & the Nuclear So and So’s - “Hello Vagina”

Margot & the Nuclear So and So’s

While it’s not something you’d want to write inside of a Hallmark Valentine, the title of this new Margot & the Nuclear So and So’s song is certainly good for a chuckle. “Hello Vagina” is a b-side from the group’s forthcoming album, Animal!, and the song is actually much more dark and lovely than the grin-inducing title would suggest (Heaven’s Gate references, anyone?). Check it out below!

Lost Boys 2 Trailer

Lost Boys 2: The Tribe

The trailer for Lost Boys 2: The Tribe (why not Lost Boys 2: Vampire Weekend?!?) has hit the internets - a sequel that is so surprising, it made Corey Haim weep. Based on this preview, it looks like the sequel’s main ingredients are motorcycles, skateboarding, vampires, and Corey Feldman - which means this flick is gonna be mega-rad or 2008’s Snakes On A Plane. Judge for yourself below.
