  1. Sounds good

  2. totally dissapointed. im a huge fan of this guys but let me tell you i don’t find anything catchy on any of this songs, too bad :(. i think they ran out of ideas.

  3. haha JD your comment has me laughing. Arctic Monkeys and especially Alex Turner running out of ideas is the most unlightly concept I have ever heard of!! They are exploring and writing unconventional music.

  4. maybe. i think those might be some of the songs you have to listen a few times to get it. i think im liking sandtrap. the other songs, well, they are 0K.

  5. remember guys, those are only demos. EVERYTHING still needs to be tweaked in the studio so they could end up being very catchy if they are actually put on the album.

  6. AJ, these aren’t even the demos but the live versions of these songs. Anyways, The Lovers is actually a cover so it probably won’t be in the album.

  7. [...] be a busy Monkey this summer - the A-Monks are set to reconvene this month to begin writing their third album while his other band, The Last Shadow Puppets, are set to kick off their first tour in August [...]

  8. “Put me in a terror pocket” is quite nice I think~guys~writing such songs in a noisy tour is a hard work~let alone studio version ~it must be great ~I cant wait~!Well JD youshouldnt worry that much~I always believe in them

  9. actually, the song “the lovers” is a cover originally by rod mckuen i believe. they have really NOT run out of ideas. i actually love all of these new songs and believe that their new album will be excellent and i am really looking forward to it. i agree with AJ, everything does need to be tweaked and when it has, i sure their album will be a huge sucess like their last two. in all fairness i did have to listen a few times to get into the songs but now i love them completely.

  10. Who is the original artist of “The Lovers?”

  11. Hmmm… haven’t listened to those yet (im on a reallly slow pc right now) but I think you have to listen to songs at least twice to begin to like them. Sure some songs you like straight away, but those are the songs that soon become annoying and turn into one hit (or sometimes two) wonders…

  12. I reckon these will be B-Sides. If you look at the quality of their B-Sides in the past, i.e. “What If You Were Right First Time” and most that they have made, they are of a similar style to these new demos they have made.

The Monkeys have a-lot more up their sleeves. And i look forward to hearing their work with Josh Homme’s!

  13. their song os good,,, monkeys is coming with great album

  14. Yeah put me in a terror pocket sounds good. The other ones are acoustic and ehhh but i have high hopes for the next CD.

  15. these guys are awseome they just need to hurry up and release their third album FUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!
