10 Worst Ways To Behave At Concerts: How You’re Ruining It For Everyone

Music festival season is upon us and MuchMusic has put together a spot-on list of the 10 worst concert behaviors of so-called “fans.” I think all concert goers should have to sign off on some kind of waiver agreeing not to engage any of these listed activities (I’m thinking of you in particular, extremely-wasted 6′8″ dude standing/dancing in front of me while your girlfriend intermittently uses her cell phone for chatting and snapping terrible photos…) What are your least favorite modern concert behaviors?

1The 6′8″ dude standing RIGHT IN FRONT of me at the show? Quickest way to ruin my fun. Why can’t he stand behind me? HE CAN SEE RIGHT OVER MY HEAD.
The other one that gets me? People who go to shows of bands they “should” like, but they have no idea who the band actually is. I see it ALL THE FREAKING TIME. When I saw Ghostland Observatory in Dallas last weekend, the second the band went on, people all over the venue were asking, “Who’s this band? When’s Ghostman coming on?”
I spit in their beers.

2@ Nate: Right on! Quasi-scenesters are almost as bad as actual scenesters! It seemed like the Flaming Lips audience members @ D Fest last year were there with the mindset that the band hadn’t written a song since “She Don’t Use Jelly!”
