If you happen to have an extra £250,000 lying around (that’s $486,802 to us Yanks), you may want to consider buying the 1965 Fender Stratocaster guitar that Jimi Hendrix famously set fire to at the London Astoria on March 31, 1967. That’s the price tag that is expected to be raised from the guitar, which had been kept in storage for the past 40 years and is set to be auctioned this summer. (It would also make a lovely gift for Hypeful…just sayin’…)

3The original guitar was smashed up after being burnt. The one in all the recent news pictures looks to be in surprisingly good nick for a guitar that had it’s neck broken off it’s body.
