Bad news for those of you hoping to see “Stairway to Heaven” on a gaming console near you. Despite the success of Guitar Hero/Rock Band and other bands like Aerosmith and Metallica getting their own spin-off games, Zeppelin guitarist Jimmy Page and his bandmates are apparently not comfortable giving gaming companies access to the group’s master recordings - a necessary step in adding a band’s music to the game. With “Stairway”’s recent estimated value of $572 million in revenues, the most requested rock tune in history is still a big winner without video games…

I watch documentaries stating your main goal in music was to have people hear your tunes…..now you have a chance for the entire young generation to not only listen to, but play along as if they were you! Your denying rock fans the world over that simple pleasure of Led Zeppelin. I think it is apalling that you are being so selfish with your music. if you want us to love you guys even more, put some songs on GH or Rckband. PLease. PLEASE

  2. No I Support Led Zeppelin In that they won’t allow there songs in the games… Led Zeppelin is a Glorious Band, and I think Guitar Hero is a great game, but no one should ever imitate Zeppelin… Stay Strong! Resist Temptation!
