Russia To Make Emo Illegal?
In the wake of Mexico’s emo-bashing epidemic of 2008, comes another reason for international emo kids to be, well…emo. Russian legislators are working on a bill that would make being “emo” illegal. The bill would allow Russian government to regulate emo websites, and ban the wearing of goth and emo clothes and styles in schools and government buildings. Go ahead and check your calendar - this is apparantly not an April Fool’s joke. How long before the Statue of Liberty reads, “”Give me your tired, your poor, Your huddled emo kids yearning to listen to My Chemical Romance…”
