Smashing Pumpkins, Hanson, Cheap Trick, & Fountains of Wayne Form A “Supergroup”
In what sounds like the setup of either a great joke or terrible heist film, The Smashing Pumpkins’ James Iha, middle Hanson brother Taylor Hanson, Cheap Trick drummer Bun E. Carlos and Fountains of Wayne bassist Adam Schlesinger have joined forces to form Tinted Windows. Even more surprising, the band has already recorded an album, due out in the spring, and plan to debut the newly-formed “supergroup” at SXSW on March 20th.
