Conan’s “First”/Zero Musical Guest Is…Steel Train

In anticipation of his immanent return to TV return next week, Conan O’Brien streamed a mini-show tonight. Dubbed “Show Zero,” the short four-minute clip featured one guest (Jim Parsons of “Big Bang Theory” nerd fame) and one band, NJ-based quintet Steel Train, playing literally one chord.

So, what does Coco’s first music guest sound like beyond one chord? Rambunctious, spastic pop as evidenced by “Soldier In The Army” from their 2010 self-titled release. Speaking of armies, “Seven Nation Army”-rocker Jack White will be Cone-Zone’s first musical guest when “Conan” officially debuts on TBS on Monday.
