Hypeful has dragged its feet long enough! Putting together a “best of” list is never an easy task and this year was filled with some tough, musical Sophie’s choices when it came to the best best albums. Finally, Hypeful has settled on a list of the 27 best albums from 2007. Faced with some ridiculously hard decisions, I’ll admit that there were plenty of albums not listed that I would’ve loved to include. However, after countless revisions and changes in my rankings, this is Hypeful’s list of the best 27 and I’m sticking to it…for now…

The nonstop reruns of My Super Sweet 16 and The Hills has made one thing clear in 2007 - rich girls have taken over MTV. I’m not sure if this is metaphorically speaking or if an actual group of armed debutantes has hijacked the station’s control room. Either way, the past year has continued to see the shrinking of the “M” in “MTV.” Lucky for viewers thirsty for more tunes in their tube, there’s been some truly memorable music moments on some of 2007’s best TV series (and I’m not talking about just having a really hip soundtrack, McDreamy fans).

Unbelievable - is 2007 really almost over? That means it’s time for Hypeful to help wrap-up the year and get ready to welcome 2008 with a big high-five. Hypeful has sorted through the year that was and will be offering up “best of” lists for all of ’07’s greatest offerings (including Hypeful’s Best Albums of 2007!!!). Not surprisingly, I can’t get seem to get Bishop Allen’s “Calendar” out of my head…
