New Previously On Lost - “Just Wink”

Lost Confirmed Dead

Previously On Lost have released their latest track, “Just Wink” - a recap of last week’s jaw-dropping Lost ep featuring 815’s alleged rescuers. Just as fun and whimsical as last week’s “We’re Goin’ Home,” the new xylophone-heavy song recalls a Flaming Lips b-side and features lyrics like: “I’ve had it up to here with Jack’s jeers and Sawyer’s snark, Dan says the light doesn’t scatter quite right - maybe that’s why I’m always in the dark…” Too bad POL wasn’t around to help inject a bit of fun into season 3 - viewers would’ve loved a tune about Nikki and Paulo!

Help This American Life Come to a Theater Near You

This American Life Ira Glass

Here’s the deal - This American Life is planning a stage show that would be filmed and sent live—live!—via satellite to movie theaters across the country. It would include host Ira Glass performing a radio piece, never-before-seen stories and outtakes from the second season of the excellent TLA TV series, an audience Q&A via satellite with theater attendees, and much more. No other public radio program has tried this before, which makes it a very exciting event. But to make it happen, TLA needs to know if you’re interested (which you most definitely should be). TLA is asking for your input on how to craft the event by taking this very short survey (it’ll take less than two minutes).

As if you need more convincing to take the survey, here’s a trailer for the first superb season and an audio clip from last year’s live tour featuring Ira discussing “radio on TV,” his love of The O.C., and Mates of State performing The O.C.’s theme song (”California”).

Colbert/O’Brien/Stewart Huckabee Fight Settled With Cross-Overs, Violence, & Arctic Monkeys

Huckabee Fight Jon Stewart Stephen Colbert Conan O’Brien Late Night backstage

Call it “O’Brienstorm” - after weeks of funny feuding over which one of them “made” presidential candidate Mike Huckabee, three of America’s best late night hosts made cross-over appearances on each others’ shows to finally settle the debate. Saving the big battle for network TV, Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert dropped in on Conan O’Brien and showed that late night’s alright for fighting. Featuring Arctic Monkeys’ “Brianstorm” and a Huckabee cameo, check out the clip below.

30 Rock Takes “Midnight Train to Georgia”

Hearing the writer’s strike may end soon, I finally watched the last episode of 30 Rock from early January that I was hoarding for emergency entertainment purposes. Tina Fey drunk on wine and singing Alanis Morissette? Awesome. The entire cast getting their inner-Pip on and singing Gladys Knight? Also, awesome. It may be a tad belated, but Hypeful can’t let a great 30 Rock tune slip by without a mention.

New Sarah Silverman Video/Song - “I’m F*cking Matt Damon”

Sarah Silverman I’m Fucking Matt Damon How do you like them apples

Last night Sarah Silverman went on Jimmy Kimmel Live to congratulate Kimmel on the fifth anniversary of his talkshow. Silverman also took the time to premiere a new music video featuring People’s Sexiest Man Alive/Jason Bourne, which is probably going to go viral like a cross-strain of bird flu and an SNL digital short. Heads up - even though the naughty word in the title is bleeped throughout the clip for network’s sake, it’s kind of NSFW (like most of Silverman’s material). Check out the song and video below!
