I’ll be taking part in a panel discussion at NX35 Music Conferette in Denton, TX. The topic is “Redefining the Music Industry through Social Media” and I hope you can roll out if you live in/near DFW. The panel should be just as much fun as the rest of the conference and I hope to see you there!
The Flaming Lips and fellow OKC artists Stardeath and White Dwarfs have put together an ace cover of Madonna’s 1984 single “Borderline” for the compilation Covered, A Revolution In Sound. The eclectic album also features contributions from The Black Keys (yay!), Disturbed (nay!), and Adam Sandler (wha’???).
Every Tuesday, Hypeful teams up with Salad Days Music to pick and preview the week’s best new album releases. Bend an ear to this week’s choicest selections after the jump!
Check out Illinois‘ new single from chapter 5 of their ongoing musical saga, The Adventures Of Kid Catastrophe. Equally comfortable with a banjo and a beat box, the PA-based quartet’s six-month project is almost complete and will be released as a Deluxe Edition on May 5th (including all 18 songs and 6 film chapters, plus 2 bonus songs and 2 bonus video chapters).
